CHARTS ~ I had to do two because the first one stopped being legible after I added more data.  Plus, I’m not sure how long the last 20-ish pounds will take so I thought it deserved its own chart.

This first chart is the first 60-ish pounds

This second chart is the last stage of the weight losing journey.  I’m not sure how long it will take or exactly where it will end up.

Okay… really… HOW in the HELL do you lose almost 16 lbs in 4 weeks??? REALLY!!! What is your exercise plan? Eating plan?!?!?!

  16. Lady Shanny said,

    October 3, 2007 at 5:33 pm

Hey Krystle, How in the hell is right! OK. Here’s the answer. I followed WW to the letter. In the 4 weeks I have only actually exercised 5 times. I drank all the water and then some and I was a points-crazed lunatic. But that’s not why it’s working. You’re not going to like my answer, but the only reason it’s different this time is that I came to a realization that I have to treat myself better. That nothing was going to change unless I worked at it. That I deserve so much more than I was giving myself. I knew all the right words to say before, but I never felt it like I do now. And I am of the belief that once it was completely straight in my head, my body released the choke-hold on the ‘protective’ fat and now we’re good to go. I can’t tell you how to get there. I know that it was a long, LONG road with a good many upsets and binges and depression and sadness. And then one day it just clicked. I had been talking pretty bluntly with a friend of mine about weight issues for awhile and then one night I remembered about WW. I thought about it for a couple of weeks before I made the committment. I knew I didn’t want to fail again. I knew I had to be absolutely sure because this was going to be the LAST TIME. Also, the complete and total honesty of this website is really good for me. If I type it here, it’s not a secret that I have to protect anymore and then I’m free to deal with other things. A couple of people that I know in real life read this website, so it’s a little tough at times to be that honest, but it’s well worth it.

I KNOW that doesn’t answer your question, but it’s the truth. WW does work, but you have to be completely ready because it WILL change your life, if you let it. Does that sound all high and mighty? I hope not.

  17. Krystle said,

    October 4, 2007 at 1:30 pm

No that definietly does not sound all high and mighty! You are an inspiration to MANY of us!! MANYYYYYYY!!!!

I just recently joined LA Weight Loss on the 25th of September and have since lost 5 lbs. 5 lbs in 1 week seems like alot, but that’s with a TakeOFF drink they give you, and only being able to eat veggies and proteins for two days!

Now, this week is my first week with a plan they actually gave me, and I’m very happy. It consists of 3 proteins, 4 vegetables, 3 fruits, 4 starches, 2 dairy, 2 fats, and 2 LA Lite bars. (And, it’s funny… now, with what I’m eating and REALLY dieting… I look back at all my other “diets” and holy hell… it was FAR from a diet.) It’s like you say… you have to be IN the mindset to actually do ANYTHING. You can say 8,000 times how you want to lose weight, want to be super thin, you’re going to quit eating in hopes you will get thinner, or you take the last dive and binge into the diet pill world. Been there, done that… multiple times – but oddly enough, all of those things miraculously end in the same result. Upset. Failure because you set yourself up for it. And, you didn’t thoroughly think it over, before you made the move. It’s binge dieting… and ANYTHING binge, does not stick. It always ends badly. Now, much to my delight, I can WALK PAST that candy dish, I can AVOID pizza and chinese, and pasta… I can AVOID everything JUNK, because I KNOW… it will ONLY further… and I cannot handle that, nor do I even want to THINK about that right now. Forward is my only way. Backwards isn’t acceptable!!

The only way (like you said) that you’re going to lose weight, is if you’re in the right mindset. You have to be ready… not ready to lose just the weight and be happy about being thin (although that definietly is an encouraging aspect), but you have to think about health, and your own well-being. Are you sick of being out of breath after going up the steps… are you sick of going into a department store, and NEVER being able to find the pants that fit you just right? I know I am… and for that, I need to lose the weight. My self-confidence has taken a severe dip south, and my well-being health wise, has definietly not gotten better. It will only get worse from here.

With my highest weight, knocking the scale at 250.0 on the dot… I knew it was time to do something. Time to get my life back in order. I could sit there and complain to friends endlessly about how I hate my body, how I can never find clothes, how I am so embarassed, or how I stretch my shirts out because I’m that uncomfortable… but, as you know (and as you saw, on that one day when I posted my “That’s It” post on my Weight Loss Blog - and you commented)… I could have 18 million people tell me that I needed to diet, but only I could do something about it. Only I could make the decision to make MYSELF healthier. Make MYSELF a happier person…

And, thankfully this LA Weight Loss has been my my savior. My rock. My… you need to stick to this because (like you say) … IS my LAST CHANCE. I am getting married September 20th, 2008 and do I want to be THAT or THIS uncomfortable on MY wedding day?? Absolutely not.

I want to feel sexy. Be sexy. Feel confident. Have walk down the isle like I’m the hottest chick around. BUT, most importantly… I want to BE healthy, and only ONE person, and ONE time can change that.

Okay, this is horrendously long… Sorry!! I just feel THAT good, that I’m making THIS choice, or I should say, HAVE made this choice (and am following it to a ****T****, too!

    You’re an inspiration, Shannon.

  18. Lady Shanny said,

    October 4, 2007 at 5:23 pm

Thanks for calling me an inspiration…I don’t know about that, but it’s nice to hear! I’m glad you found something (LA Weight Loss) that you feel will work for you. Tell me, you said you ‘feel THAT good’, do you feel different? That this time it’s different? That this time it’s for keeps? Just curious!

    Keep up the good work!

  19. Krystle said,

    October 5, 2007 at 11:16 am

When I say I feel THAT good, I do feel different. Feel like I have the strength and determination to succeed in doing this, this last final time. Not jumping to the gun, but taking this 1 lonely day at a time. And, every day that I succeed, I start to feel better and better, and proud of what I’ve done and am doing.

You’re still going. . .DOWN, Down, down. Remember, during this journey some weeks are going to be better than others. Like the roads we take. Keep track of what allows you to have a good week and follow that plan as your map.

I know quite many people that would be quite excited to lose .4. There are a few folks in my group who have been on a plateau or even gaining all while still attending meetings.
You are doing the right things keep it up!

  24. Krystle said,

    October 17, 2007 at 12:28 pm

Boohoo… Stayed the same this week – no gain – no loss, but that’s cause I didn’t go grocery shopping last week. Will definitely see a drop this next week. It’s amazing at what eating all the right foods do for you, compared to eating any food, and just watching portion sizes. Yikes.

On the ball for this week!! Good job yesterday!!

  29. Lady Shanny said,

Thanks Marueze! I certainly am grinning! If someone would have told me 3 months ago that I would be 30 pounds lighter and walking 5km every day, I would have laughed them off the property!

I’ve amazed even myself and it feels really good!

Thanks so much for your support! You are a darling!

  30. Krystle said,

    November 20, 2007 at 9:36 pm

    How incredible!! You are awesome!

Have you just been eating within points, and walking every day? How much is 5km in miles? That’s so good…

  31. Lady Shanny said,

    November 20, 2007 at 9:41 pm

    Hey Krystle,

I stay in my daily points for the most part. Occassionally I will dip into the extra 35 that you get every week, but not too often and only on the weekends. I do the walking (3.1 miles) every day (it’s been a month now and I only missed those 4 days that I had to take as hiatus). I earn the activity points, but the calculation of how many you earn is really vague, so I give myself one extra point in the morning and one in the evening instead of the 6 (that seems excessive at 300 calories) that the ladies at WW told me. Otherwise I feel like I’m undoing all the activity with the eating.

    That’s pretty much it.

  32. Krystle said,

    November 27, 2007 at 9:17 pm

That’s very cool Shannon… I need to start walking every day. 2 miles a day for now… 1/2 hour a night. I should be able to do that no problem!

    You’re just doing so wonderful…

Woo Hoo…..well I didn’t want to jinx you last night but when you mentioned a little hangover – was going to say you might jog your system and lose a bit with your drinky-poos – Personally, I find that a drink or 2 helps me on occassion – that is if I am really watching as I should be – to drop a pound or 2. However, this cant be done on a regular basis. Also, you had the lessor loss in the week prior. 3.19 not a bad average. Rock on.
