A Sunday Well Spent

Wanna see what I did today?

All courtesy of the lovely country that is the USA.

PS.  The 6 blocks of cheese that you see here?  They are not all for me!  Tarable, I think your cheese needs have been met!

Fiber One, Mmmm… lovely. And, I’m sure you’re aware, but if you eat 1 a day after a couple days you’ll wish you hadn’t… that might be TMI, but… just an FYI! And, it might only be me but….. I’ve heard others having the same problem!

Lovely display! I have to ask… since you’re on the border or somewhere near USA and Canada – Do you have to go through customs each time? Is it a hassle?

Anonymouse, Penguin will definitely be getting his flippers on some of them. The Flatouts (far left) and the FibreOne bars for sure. He’s already reviewed the yogurts that I bought and cheese is pretty boring to review.

Krystal, yes I live about 10 minutes from the Canada-US border. The biggest pain in the arse is waiting to get back and forth in the border lineups although yesterday was just fine. You do have to declare the goods you purchased every time you come back but, knock on wood, they have never made us pay duty. Generally groceries (with the exception of alcohol and tobacco) are exempt from duty anyway. It really just depends on if the border guard is being sticky about it or not.

it’s mean to post pictures of foods people in Korea can’t get. Ok, maybe it’s not mean, but as I am in korea, it makes me a little sad.

I’m sorry Lauren! That’s how I feel a lot of the time when I see commercials for really yummy stuff on TV and know that it’s in the states, not Canada!

Good grief, GoGo! Don’t you just LOVE the amber? I have loved it for a long time and get sad when it’s summer and can’t wear it because it’s really more of a fall/winter smell! So when I was in Bath & Body Works yesterday I found…wait for it….CHOCOLATE AMBER lotion and body wash! I just about wet myself! Smells so good I could eat it.

On a slightly more embarassing note: The little round jar behind the sunglasses? The one with the brown lid? OK, that’s Savannah Bee Co. Beeswax hand cream. Smells like honey and sugar and has the texture of just whipped cream cheese icing. No kidding! So today, when I was applying it an urge overcame me and I licked some off my finger! I did! I did it before I could stop myself. Is this what I’ve come to? Eating hand cream? And you know what? It tasted fantastic! It tasted just like I thought it would. Don’t worry, I’m not going to start eating my hand cream…I just had to make the admission….because it was kind of embarassing….and oddly satisfying!

Even your comments have good tips! Anonymouse just might have to try those FibreOne bars. Thanks for the TMI, Krystle!
